I drive an '04 Accent with an automatic transmission. My speedometer has recently stopped working. I have replaced the VSS and checked things at the instrument cluster side - they are good. I have also checked the wiring to the VSS and it is good.

I strongly suspect the speedometer driven gear, but I am having issues removing it from the transaxle to check it.I pull out the VAA then remove the bolt holding the sleeve to the transaxle. The sleeve will rotate (until it hits part of the tranny) but it will not come out. Is there any tricks to getting this thing out?
