01 ELANTRA PARKING LIGHTS STAY ON

    2001 Elantra - parking lights will not go off. Doors closed, removed
    ignition key. Dash lights also on. When I turn on headlights and remove key,
    all lights used to go off. Now, parking lights stay on...Any ideas?

    My parking lights stay on after I turn off the key but go out as soon as I
    _open the door to leave.

    something broke - or is frozen (it's been cold here). The lights used to go
    off. The car is locked and the switch is off and the keys are not in the
    car. For some reason the parking lights are on and will not go off.
