04 Santa fe 3.5 timing belt install

    I put the timing belt on and lined up the gears like this drawing I have uploaded....when I tried starting it it seems like its not quite right and wont turn over. I saw colored pencil dots at each bolt hole at top of case and was wondering if I should have lined up gears with those dots instead.
