I recently purchased a new 2004 Tiburon. It looks like two of the three wipers (including rear) is missing a piece, however. One of the main windshield wipers has a beefier look to it -- as if there's a thick piece of plastic within the wiper, while the other two wipers are just the wipers itself. Almost as if there's some kind of frame missing. I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense, not sure how else to explain it though. I'd like to get replacements for the missing frames, but don't know what it's called that I'm actually looking for or where I can purchase them. Can anyone help?
Hi, Not sure about 2004 But I have a 2003 and the driver side has what looks like a spoiler on it to keep it planted to the windshield as some wipers tend to lift with alot of wind hitting them. Nothing on the passanger side or rear as the driver is the only one that really needs to see. As for the spoiler thing I am not sure on this but this is what I gathered by looking at it and past exp. driving a little fast in the rain. Hope I am right.... Greg
Thanks Greg. Can anyone else with a Tiburon or knows of this confirm? Basically the passenger wiper and the rear wiper is just the thin wiper itself, while the driver side wiper is thicker with sort of a spoiler, as you described, on it.
Yes, the driver's side has the spoiler on it to keep it glued to the windshield while driving fast or on windy, rainy days. The others don't need it. If you really wanted one for the pasenger (rear not needed due to the fact it is already shielded), you could probably contact your dealership to see about getting one.
