04 wheel stud problem diy

    front studs are chewed up trying to change and cannot get an access
    hole or slit to push them through to the other side. do i need to take
    the whole knuckle off? or is there an easier mor efficient way? thanks
    in advance for any and all help

    Take the brake caliper loose, and the wheel bearing nut. Remove the hub
    from the spindle.

    Removing the hub is likely to create a problem on this car. Remove th
    rotor and caliper, and there should be enough room to knock the stud ou
    the back. If not, you may need to cut it off.

    When installing the new stud, if additional clearance is needed, grind
    flat spot on one side of the back of the stud
