There are two types of speed sensors
One is the ABS sensor that tells the ecu how fast the wheel is turning
The other is on the transmission. It tells the ECU how fast the tranny is turning.
If the two sensors information don't correlation then the ECU can put the car into Limp Home Mode.
As for its exact location, try checking with a manual.
Can probably find one is an auto parts store??
Also, talk the the people there. See if they know anything??
