I have a 1998 Sonata. It is a very good car. I am pleased with the ride
and performance. I bought it used.
I have had it for 4 years. It was a bargain at purchase, and it was what I
wanted a larger car with a V-6.
I have had to have some repairs done. Here are the repairs done. The drivers
side back window power window died, and the power lock wouldn't unlock on
the driver side. Both were repaired and work fine now. So, test them to see
if they work.
I did have a faulty computer sensor chip that was a major expense repair,
but the car computers sensors are expensive. The car had graphite spark
plugs/wires, and the faulty sensor knocked the spark off requiring a tune
up, and the graphite's are expensive......so it actually was a double
expense!!!
Test the power things (doors, locks), have your mechanic run a diagnostic,
and drive it on various types of driving (Xway, stop-n-go, rain, and .
