Hello All:
Wanted to mention this in the hopes that someone has experienced this before
or may have a clue as to what it may be.
Got my 2001 Elantra on 7/15/01.
In addition to just the radio/tape player, I installed a 10 CD changer in
the car from Circut City
on 10/02.
For the past two months or so, the clock in the car came on, but it was very
faded. After a few
minutes, it brightened to it's normal self.
For the past month, the speakers would get a little static if I went over a
bump while I had the CD player on. I thought I may have blown a speaker.
A few days ago, the CD player was having problems turning on. I figured it
must be the CD player that
is causing the problem.
This afternoon, when I got in the car, the radio doesn't turn on at all and
the time doesn't show up at all
on the clock.
So I'm not sure if it's just a fuse, or the combination of the CD player and
the radio short circuited something.
Anyone have any guesses as to what it would be, or have you experienced this
before and how did
you repair it?
Thx.
