I'm working on a 2.4l engine. The balance shaft belt broke which bent the
flange between the 2 crank gears and in turn destroyed the cranksensor and
nearly the timing belt. I am having trouble removing the crank gears. How
do keep the crankshaft from moving. Is there a place to pin the crank so
it wont move? I don't want to damage the valves since it is an
interference engine. Also does anyone know the p/no for that flange. I am
definetly going to need a new one. Thanks -Dan
oh yeah I am working in someones driveway withouth access to airtools

The sprockets are keyed, so they'll need to be pulled off; they won't turn
on the crank. If they're especially stubborn, you may need a puller to
    remove them.

And Dan, I can't tell you how much this scares me. This is a tricky
timing belt installation and if everything isn't just right, the timing
belt can jump and cause engine damage. If you're not absolutely certain
you have everything right, don't start the engine.

Thanks, I finished the job. It went really well, which scared me at first.
I wouldnt have been able to do it without an extra set of hands or a
camshaft holding tool. Fingers were crossed when my girlfriend turned it
over. Started up with no problem. Lets hope it stays that way. Thanks
    again Hyundaitech.
