In mixed Driving <mostly city> I gotten 22.8 mpg averaged over the last 1500
miles, 2004 elantra GT 5door. As most of this was NYC driving in traffic,
its not bad. Straight highway using Cruise-control 36 mpg over a 200 mile
run on open highways @65mph. I'm looking forward to some increase as I
currently have 3800 miles on it, So I might see an additional 1-2 mpg
increase over the next 5000 miles.

2002 Elantra GLS bought used with 26000 miles on it. I'm averaging 29
mpg. Low mileage has been 27, high 33. With AC on averaging 27.5 mpg.

Also fuel here is 10% ethanol to meet clean air standards. The ethanol
lowers mileage by about 4% from what I've read.
Currently Reg. 87 octane is $2.299 gal. locally, down off a spike 10 days
ago to $2.359 gal.
