Went to a dealer today. The dealer would sell me a 2003 Sonata v6 with
sunroof for 16,800 out the door. Is this a good price? What is factory
installed equipment?

I don't know whether that is a good price or not. I would recommend going to
Consumer Reports who put out very up-to-date pricing on each car. We got a
Sonata LX and ABS/TCS and moonroof. We paid $19,300 (including taxes). Don't
forget to go the HyundaiUSA website for up-to-date rebate information. My
wife loves the Sonata and I love its value. This is a very good car.

When shopping for an Elantra, I used CarsDirect.com as a reference point.
Eventually, I got the dealer to go nearly $900 below the price at which I
could've bought the car online. I ended up not getting the Elantra, but playing
the dealer against the Internet resulted in what I felt was a good price,
something like $12,400 for a GT without sunroof or ABS.

A 2003 Sonata with the options described above goes for $16,434 in my ZIP code,
according to CarsDirect.

Depends on where you live. In NY $16800
for Sonata GLS V6 Leather would be a good price ,
but seeing as the summer is coming to a close you
could probably get it for $500 - $1000 less.
