2004 sonata 4 cyl shudders when idling

    whenever im stopped at a stoplight for about 20-25 seconds, the engine
    will very quickly shudder then return to normal. it almost feels like
    it going to die but it catches itself and returns to normal. anybody
    have an idea? maybe fuel filter?....has 53000 on it

    It sounds like it's time for you to clean the throttle body.

    Could be lots of things. EGR solenoid sticking shut, throttle positio
    sensor, idle actuator, air flow sensor, vacuum leak, etc. If it'
    regularly duplicable, take it in to be checked
