2005 Hyundai accent 4 door. no remote key lock. The doors unlock when you turn the ignition key to on and they will not lock. When you try to lock them you can feel that they are still being told to unlock. The passenger side front door stays in what ever state it is in, locked or unlocked. The left hand door locks and unlocks all the doors except the passenger door when the ignition key is off. The right hand door will still lock and unlock the other doors if you cycle the lock button.
    What could cause this?

    Don't know ..
I do know that the doors won't lock with the key on and doors open??
Also, possible the passenger door is preventing the door locks from operating correctly??

    I was wondering about that.
You can hear the relay to open the door locks firing every few seconds when the key is in the ignition
. With the key in engine running driving or else it is the only lock that you can lock. It acts like its in manual, if they had a manual. I thought about replacing the mechanism. I am wondering what sends the signal to the relay to unlock the doors. I need to get a good set of diagrams for the door wiring on the 2005 accent with 4 doors.

Still don't know anything about it ...
Just looked at the schematics for my Elantra
Assuming that the wiring would be similar
The left front door lock actuator is the unit that receives
the input of the door lock either from the key in lock or the lock knob
And then sends the signal to either lock or unlock the doors
So it looks like the passenger door lock may have nothing to do with the issue
But, guessing that still need to check the wiring

    Sorry I can't help

Wait, I didn't say to replace the actuator. I don't know enough to help.
I only told you what I can see on the schematics (Haynes manual)
If you do then I hope it works.
