ESP off light came on and car refused to shift from 1st gear and brakes eventually became fully engaged so car couldn't be moved. Turning car off/on had no effect. This has happened twice and the first time I waited an hour before it returned to normal. The second time I removed the negative battery cable, waited a minute then replaced it and the car returned to normal. This is a dangerous scenario and I was lucky in both instances that I wasn't hit from behind or some other direction. Anyone else heard of this happening?
