    Hi,
Last night someone stole a catalytic converter off my 2006 SantaFe, which stinks... So now I have to fix it as soon as possible not to get a ticket or something. I already ordered the converter, and it will be delivered either tomorrow or in a day... But I've got a question though. I was wondering, do I need to attach it to the pipes as is, or there is supposed to be a gasket in between?

A quick update, folks. There really has to be a gasket, and I've already ordered one. Also having read some info on other forums I found out, that this should be a gasket specified to work on the catcon. As the material it's made of should sustain those high temperatures and fumes.
