2006 sonata a\c compressor

    At idle my compressor makes a "growling" noise. Not all the time, but
    it is noticeable. Common?

    Yes, this is a common occurrence. Most Hyundai compressors make a slight
    growling noise when they run, and this is normal. If you think yours may
    be excessively noisy, stop by the dealer and have them take a listen.
