I need a O2 sensor and the original upstream sensor has 4 wires and all I can find for replacement is 5 wire...anybody know what's up with that???

Four wire O2 sensor .. 2 wires for the heater circuit
2 wires for the O2 sensor itself
The O2 sensor should come with a connector
The connector should be the right one for your car
Other wise, it is a universal type
Did you try other auto parts stores?? Websites??
