    Hello everyone,

I am nearing the 105k Mile mark. I was told by the dealer that a spark plug service was coming soon, and that included a "intake cleaning" as well as filters.

I can do the spark plugs, looks pretty easy honestly. (NGK Iridums gapped to .044, correct?) And I can change the filters, no sweat. What is this "intake service"? Is that like cleaning the butterfly on the throttle body? I can probably do that too, but is there anything else? They quoted me $400 on the whole service. Any advice would be great, thank you!

What is "In-take service" is a tricky question.
For some shops, ... (in addition to what you mentioned)
Cleaning the fuel injectors, throttle body, plenum and air-intake, and intake valves and ports.
Remove any deposits on the combustion chamber.
Restore the correct balance of fuel and air-in system.

It means running injector cleaner thru fuel system
And maybe some water. (see youtube and search de-carbonizing engine with water)

    Is it worth it? IDK
