2012 Ellantra engine swap

I am looking for a used engine for my sons 2012 Elantra. We found one that we can afford, but it says it has California emissions. Does anyone know what we need to do to put that engine in a car that does not have California and missions? It's a 1.8 L And the eighth digit in the VIN is "E".
 
Also if anyone has a link to a how-to video I could really use one. I've done a lot of engine work but never an engine swap.
