The car battery died after about 10 minutes of using radio and headlights. We recharged and car started up. Got home and parked it, next morning a branch fell on the windshield shattering it. No alarm went off. Car again would not start. Charged the battery again which is taking a charge and a day later car still won't start. It is telling me it is not recognizing my key (push start). It has a new battery in the remote key. It won't accept the key into the insertion point in the glove box either. Could this be a security issue because the shattered windshield? Is there a way to reset this?

It sounds like there is a parasitic drain on the car battery.
Go to youtube and search for parasitic drain.
    Learn to fix it.
