I have a 2013 Tucson. Over a year ago the engine seized up on me. Got it to the dealer, full replacement at not cost to me.
Now---- Numerous occasions I have noticed that the tach had dropped to zero with no lights or difference in the control of the engine. At other times, the tach goes to zero and the vehicle goes into "limp" mode. Still no light. I pull off the road, shut the car off for a couple minutes, restart and everything is fine.
Last night coming home, I noticed a "cough" and the check engine light flashed, did not stay on. No other problems for remainder of trip.
I have been to dealer twice for this problem, due to no codes they couldn't find the problem.
Question is, what is going on and why are no codes being produced?
