To quiet down the door chime I had to remove the instrument cluster which isn't as bad as it sounds.
The hood over the instruments pulls out towards the seat. It takes a little muscle but it pulls out directly towards the seat and steering wheel. This will expose two of the four screws that hold in the instrument cluster.
To access the other two screws, pull the small trim piece under the gauges towards the steering wheel also, and it will come out far enough to remove the remaining 2 screws.
Remove all four screws and pull the instrument cluster out just enough to see the backside of it Leave your door open and turn the key on. You will hear where the chime is coming from. Turn the key off and remove the wire connector.Carefully remove the back panel off of the instrument cluster. At this point I just put a piece of tape over the chime and it is fairly quiet and much less annoying now.
