I just got my 30k done and from what i can tell the dealership (a hyundai
dealership) did everything, EXECPT the spark plugs, they said that they
did not need to be done, but from what i read they should be done!? I even
wrote on the drop off slip to replace the spark plugs if nessicary, and on
my receipt they printed out that the spark plugs do not need to be
changed. So am i safe under the warrenty or should i insist that they area
changed. Also I have been having a problem with my lights on the
spedometor, and they said that becasue i have an aftermarket raido they
cannot do anything and its not covered under warrenty.?!?! I had taken my
car to another dealership (dealership "B") for this problem and they said
it was covered (they had to order the parts) the reason i did not take it
back to dealership B was becasue they seems to be overcharging me and
adding things to there 30k plan that I do not need, and i wanted to get
    everything done in one stop.
    whats going on here?
    i have a 2002 accent.

Why did they say they didn't need to be changed? Did they give you an
appropriate labor discount for not changing them?

Everything I see says that the plugs are copper and should be changed at
30k. Even the maintenance chart at hyundaiusa.com indicates the 2004
should have plugs changed every 30k.

It's possible the radio could affect the dash lighting if incorrectly
installed. The dealer may wish to have you authorize the cost of their
diagnostic time until they determine the actual cause. To say, however,
that the warranty is void because of an aftermarket radio is completely
incorrect. If the radio or installation caused the problem, then you
would of course be responsible for repairs. Also, if the speedo lamps are
burning/burnt out, that is a nonwarrantable issue as bulbs are only covered
    for 1 year/12k miles.

The dash lights go one and off so i think its a loose wire or soething, and
the raido and my sub/amp were all put in professionally, so hopefully they
    did not mess up.
I think my plugs should be replced also but the dealership insists they
are 60k, and they supposivly even looked at them and they are ok, I hope
that if something does go wrong they will accept my recepit that saids 30
maintance preformed and undter a different customer request it saids spark
plugs inspected, they do not need to be replaced

That may be true, but your spark plugs are only covered by Hyundai up to
the regular service interval. So, I hope this dealer is willing to pay
for your repairs if you need them wherever you need them.

I just had this issue come up, one dealership said i was going to ahev to
pay 370 ish for their 30 k package deal, then i went to another dealership
and I only had to pay $140, but they only did the oil change, air filter
and coolent, They did not do a spark plug change (it required in the
manual) but they said i have 60k spark plugs, and that they looked at them
and they did not need to be changed. Is a transmission fluid change
required? Becasue they did not do that either
