I don't know the answer to your question, but you may want to check
out the recent thread entitled "Hey guys where the heks the fuel
filter located on a 03 4cylinder Tiburon", to see if it is relevant to
your '97.
It's been a long time since I've done one of these. It's under the hood.
You should be able to follow the pressure fuel line to the filter. The
pictures in my manual make it look to be approximately under the brake
master cylinder.
