Accent 1.5 Engine Surge

    My 2001 Accent engine will sometimes "race" immediately after engine
    start, or when I come to a stop. Also, I occasionally feel it bucking
    at highway speeds. Any ideas what causes this and how easy is it to
    fix. Vehicle no longer under warranty.

    First, have it scanned. I expect your check engine lamp is on or off, but
    you will have dtc's P0121 and maybe P0123. If so, replace the throttle
    position sensor.
