I've scanned the archieved messages, and while there are several that
deal with the subject of the Air Bag light remaining on, I'd like to
know if there is anything that can be done, other than taking the car
to a Hyundai dealer to have the codes reset?

The Air Bag light on our 98 Sonata 4cyl. remains "ON" all the time.
It came on the first time when I changed the car's battery. Is that
what caused the "code" to change? Is this a safety problem? i.e.,
will the air bag still work when the light is 'ON'?

Thanks for your advice.

Air bag light on means it will NOT deploy in an accident, It also means
your insurance companies (Auto / Health) can deny a claim if your
injured in an accident. Take it in and get it fixed...
