Brake light socket keeps burning out

    I have a 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe today I will be replacing right rear brake light socket for the third time. What could be causing this contact to burn out repeatedly?

    The solution for me on a 2013 santa fe was simple---just used spray contact cleaner in all the connectors since the brake light bulb seemed to be brighter than the rest apparently getting some cross over voltage and now things are normal. Worth a try, easy and cheap.l.
