Cigarette Lighter

Hey all... this may be a dumb question but since my Accent didn't come with a cigarette lighter I am hesitant to get one because I don't know if my power outlet supports it. I've checked my manual and it doesn't mention it. Can anyone tell me if it will work?

The newer cars don't come with cigarette lighters
And those power outlets are not rated for the heat that a cigarette light would put out
It might work for a little while and then burn out

My advice is to quit smoking.
Better for your lungs.
