Hi! I recently bought a used 2013 Hyundai Sonata and while driving it today I noticed a check engine light come on. My dad has a code scanner which diagnosed the problem as a P0442. We replaced the gas cap and have a new evap canister valve on the way. I was just wondering if it was normal to have my car not be able to accelerate at all. The RPMs went up when I would accelerate and then drop almost immediately. The P0442 code is the only one we found when we scanned it so Im hoping its an easy fix.
