new rotors pads and calipers and the cables adjusted tight and the brakes do not hold? Any help or experience with this problem would be appreciated.

What kind of e-brake do you have?
Is the e-brake cable attached to the caliper?
Or do you have e-brakes (drums) in the hat portion of the rotor?

If they are drums in the hat portion of the rotor then the shoes must be adjusted closer to the drum or rotor
This is accomplished by rotating the star wheel adjuster.

If they are attached to the brake caliper and the brakes are soft or the e-brake does not hold
Then they must be adjusted. They are rotated to return them into the caliper.
Try rotating them out a bit.

Different cars have different methods for adjusting the e-brake calipers

    Hope this helps.

Thank you for the reply, my brakes are the type with the adjuster on the piston so I will try that adjustment. There must be some sort of cam inside the caliper that activates when we pull the E brake handle thanks.
