Hello folks, I am new here but want to ask a question for a friend. She has a newer Hyundai. maybe a 15 or 16 not sure of the model though. On most cars with the electric fuel pump in the tank the gas in the tank keeps the pump cool and makes them last longer. If you always drive on empty the pump doesn't last very long.
The question is does it matter with a Hyundai if you drive on empty will your fuel pump suffer a premature death or 1/4 tank or better will your pump live to a ripe old age? Thanks for any help on this

Yes, driving with at least a quarter tank will keep the fuel pump cool and lubricated
That will allow the fuel pump to last longer. But, there are no garantees
