I'm having problems to fill up the fuel tank of my Hyundai Sonata 2000. When I try to put fuel on it, it starts to overflowing the fuel, no matter the car is almost empty.
Can anybody help on this?

When fuel goes in, air must come out.
The Evap system has a vent valve after the charcoal canister.
The vent valve or charcoal canister may be blocked
Also don't forget about the purge valve.
Check the parts to see if they are blocked or not functioning properly

Thanks for the help.
I removed the vapor canister and tried to fill the gas tank, but still having the same problem.
Any imputs will be appreciated.

My friend just replace his canister ... sale price of $197 dollars
Have read other forums and plenty of people mention the purge valve
Not sure how that would affect it??

What people are telling me is that the purge valve would cause hard starting if not working proper
The valve near the canister is the vent valve
It is normally open to allow for air to flow out of the canister which comes from the tank
Purge valve is usually in the engine bay near the in take plenum/throttle body
And it is normally closed
