GDI fuel injector replacement question

    Hi-

    Proud owner of a 2012 Accent sedan GLS. Getting codes telling that #1 injector is bad. Ok. No problem.

    But getting conflicting info: is it true that a special tool is needed (specific to Hyundai) to change out the injector on the GDI engine? Something about spacing.

    As far as I know, removing GDI injectors are a little tougher due to the O rings and seals on the injector
    And a specific tool may be needed depending upon the position of the injectors
    Don't know if Hyundai needs a specific tool.
    You could call up the dealership and speak with someone in service??
    May be better to go to parts at the dealership and ask the people at the parts counter??
