I have a 2004 Hyundai sonata 4 cyl. Today I noticed a high pitch whine coming from side of motor near my belt.... Passenger side. It only happened when I would excel. Then my car disabled. It turns over but won't start. Of course the check engine light only came on when my car died while I was in the turn lane and disabled. Now its sitting in my driveway thanks to AAA tow truck... I have my brother looking at it tomorrow and need some advice or suggestions from anyone familiar with this model. The fuel pump does clicks when I turn the key over but that's it, no humming sound
My belt is also very tight so I don't know. Don't know a whole lot about this car... 150k miles
