How much did you pay for your Hyundai Elantra thread

    I am in the market for a basic Hyundai Elantra and I am in Houston,
    TX>

    I saw an ad in the local paper for $9,995 and planning to visit other
    dealers for cheaper deals.

    How much did you guys pay for yours?

    It's worth it to check on the web first - try www.edmunds.com - before going to a dealer. That way you can get real numbers for different combinations of models and options (I have a 2003 Elantra GLS and highly recommend it). You can also find out if there are any rebate or low APR offers in effect.

    $4,500 back in 2009 for a 2001 Hyundai Elantra with 82,000 miles on it.
    AC, power steering, cruise control, sun roof, and lots of other things wrong with it that showed up after the warranty period.
