where is a good location to mount a compass 2003 elantra ?? tried left side
near dimmer control no good ..
 
First, I'd say get a GPS instead, it's easier to set up and can help you
find your way back from where ever you go. It's also more accurate than a
simple magnetic compass.

Second, I have my Garmin eTrex Legend GPS mounted just to the right of the
drivers side A-pillar and about 1/3 of the way up from the dashboard.
