My Hyundai Getz 1.3 (Holland/Europe) uses a lot of petrol (in average 1 ltr.
to 10 km). According to the manufacturer's manual this should be (in
average) 1 ltr. to 17 km. Does anyone have the same experience?
And does anyone know what the problem is (and the solution)?

I guess You have few Km on your Getz; wait and you will see an improvememnt
of mileage after about 7000 Km.
A friend of mine has same car and average in almost totally city is about
    12,5 Km/l.

    Yes,
I have the same problem. Even when I drive only on the highway in 5th gear
    100 to
    110 km/h de Getz will use 1 to 9.5.
Meanwhile I read some Belgium tests in a car magazine. There also used 1 to
    10 during the test.
I'm very pist off by that, Hyundai says 1 to 16 average.
Next week my car is been checkt by the dealer, but i thing the problem is,
that Hyundai tells lies. I'm thinking about giving my car back ore starting
    a big
media hype about this, because 1 to 9 instead of 1 to 16 its not a marge but
    in my
    opinion its pure swindle.

Are you serious, it should give much more than 12.5km/l . It is way too low. Are you mentioning this with AC or without AC?
