Hyundai Sonata ‘06 Center Console Cup Holder Cover

Something fell into the slot where the cup holder flap opens and now I can only open the cup holder cover part way. Any ideas on how to get in there to remove the foreign object so the cup holder cover can open fully and I can again put a cup in there? Thanks in advance!

I'd look at the underside of the lid with a light and see if there is a spring or hing that I can disconnect. Might be able to remove the lid and access the object.
