My 2008 Accent sometimes will not start, though it turns over. It usually starts and runs well, but unless it refuses to start for a mechanic (and it won't!) they can't diagnose it. So the starter seems okay. Ideas?

When it won't start, does it crank but doesn't fire up?
At those times, you should do a few tests
Turn the key to the on position and listen for the fuel pump to prime fuel rail
Check for spark. Check for injector signal or feel for injectors to fire.

When was the last time the timing belt was changed???

Thanks, the timing belt is fairly new and the fuel pump seems to be okay, at least when it is running. I'll try listening for it.

yeah, it is tough to find something wrong when it is so intermittent.
May have to wait for the hard failure that is coming???
