So recently i saw a 2006 sonata V6 with 145k and it does look like a good car, especially for the price. of course, I will check it out before i get it but I just want to know if I decide to get it, what kind of reliability could I expect and what kind of common problems could occur.

I have heard that sonatas are typically more reliable than Elantra at least but not sure if correct. It would only be a temporary car as I do expect to get something better 6 months from now when I get some income

I think that they are reliable. It has 145k miles and that is not bad. I would test drive it on the freeway for a good 5 miles. Sonatas and Elantras are assembled on the same production line so it is not accurate to say one is better than the other.
