Hi I just bought a 00' Hyundai Sonata GLS V6, which did not have any keyless
remotes. The dealer can't tell me if the previous owner had the remotes but
just not handed them in at time of exchange.

How do I go about finding out if my car has the keyless entry/alarm combo?
If it does, how would I also find out what type it has?

    Thank you
    Rich

This was discussed some time ago...do a search in one of the archives
for the topic. In the meantime:
    www.bought4less.com has fobs.

If I recall correctly, take a look at the trunk latch on the inside
and see if it has a selenoid to accuate the latch. If it has one, it
    should have the keyless entry.

Better do the search anyway as I could be incorrect. Seems like it
was within the last month or so.

This car did not come with keyless entry, but it was an available dealer
add-on. Look under the left side of the dash for a keyless entry module.
It'll just be wire tied into place. If there's not one there, you don't
    have keyless.

Call Hyundai with the VIN info in hand.
