Knocking sound when raining

    I have a 2003 Sonata GLS which has the moon roof with the shield. When
    it rains, if you have any window open slightly you will hear a tapping
    sound. I tried removing the shield on top which minimized the noise,
    but did not totally eliminate it. Two dealers have looked at me
    puzzled. I guess I need to go there in the rain. Anyone have a similar
    problem?

    I have a 2002 Sonata with a moon roof and shield and it does exactly the
    same thing, but only when it rains. After it has been driven awhile and
    the water has been evaporated the sound disappears. I have not been able
    to figure it out either.
