When I first got my 99 Elantra, if the lights were left on there would be a
audio beeping to let me know the lights were left on but now it no longer
    works. Any ideas?
    Thanks...

    GuitarMan,
This has nothing to do with your car but I've noticed that, with 2003
Sonata, if I leave the light on when I turn the car off... they just turn
off. There's no audio warning. When I start the car they just come on... I
guess that's cool but I never had a car that did that.
What happens if you leave the lights on when you turn the engine off? Do
the lights stay on or go off?

It used to be where if I accidently left the lights on and turned off the
ignition and pulled the key, it would beep letting me know something was on
and all of a sudden it just stopped working. On the 99, if you leave the
lights on they just stay on.

I did some searching on the web and couldn't find anything except ads...
What happens if you leave the keys in the ignition and get out of the car?
I there an alarm then? How about if you don't fasten your seat-belt after
    staring the car?
    Or leave a door open?

There's a small buzzer behind the dash that may have gone bad....
