The letter "i" has great significance in the motoring world. It first came to prominence as a boot-lid indicator that the engine of the car in front had fuel injection. A couple of decades ago, company reps were said to be particularly proud of this bit of oneupman-ship because some considered that it also stood for "important".

Wonder if the impressive 56mpg are US or UK? If UK, that means it

That mileage is indeed very impresive. The i10 made it's debut in
India but it may have a diffrent powertrain since the mileage isn't so
high there, Oh wait a min they give km per litre to be around 20
(actual user figures) So when you convert to MPG I guess it kinda
evens out ..

Err...ummmm that is 47.31 miles/US Gallon

I am not very certain this buddy of mine is a frugal driver. I
remember on a bike which advertised 100 kmpl & the average Joe would
get around 70 min this dude never got more than 55. Of course those
figures where in college, & hopefully he has matured ;)
Bottom line the figures of 56mpg could be realistic :)
