Interesting, according to that Hyundai page, there won't be a V6
option, only 2.0L and 2.4L Theta I4 Engines. Well, they just lost a
customer. I was going to trade in my 03 Sonata LX the middle-to-end
of next year but I'll be damned if I'm trading down to a smaller
engine. This 2.7L V6 is wimpy enough.

It is a nederlander article, probably engines will be differenty in other
    countries.
Besides, it seems to me they talk about a 3.2 engine too.

I was talking about the actual Hyundai Press Release that was posted.
There is nothing in there that I see about any engines except the
Theta. I would love for a larger V6 to be available.

I think that press release is talking about Korean domestic market.
US market always had bigger engine models.

No way they'll release the new Sonata without a V6 in the US. They'll lose
not just one customer, but the majority of them. The number of 4-cylinder
Sonatas sold here (not counting rental agency sales) is probably miniscule
    compared to the V6 models.

They plan to have a V6 3,2 liter engine for new Sonata too.
