It looks like the water pump has been leaking but that's not the end of it. I have a leak that I can't trace. Pic N2 shows it's location - just behind the A/C compressor. But I cannot see where it is coming from. The radiator isn't topping up from the resevoir (problem for later) and we have overheated the engine and I am guessing that has caused another problem. I am all set to replace the water pump, etc. but I think that I should figure this one out first. Pic 3N & 5N give a closer look, Pic 5N shows no sign of the leak. Pic 7N shows it may be dripping from somewhere just above.
Can anyone tell me where that leak would be coming from? Is that a "freeze-plug" right there? I can see that is is red but I have no idea what that bolt is just above the leak. What's the best way to get to it?
