oil leak

have a 2003 with a 2.7 and ive replaced the valve cover gaskets to no avail.. looks like it might be the camshaft end seals since its coming from the drivers side... do i have to take the cams out to replace the seal or is it something i can without going through that kind of hassle? anything else that would cause oil to leak from that area?
