Power Steering problem

    Can anybody help, I really cannot work this problem out
    When I am driving or parked and if I turn the steering wheel to full lock to the right or left, it stops the steering pump and the v-belt slips on the pulley. i have tried adjusting the belt but it does not matter, it still slips
