Brought my Elantra in for a tire rotation and was told that the tread depth on all four tires was exactly the same, thus wearing optimally. I had the tires rotated anyway, but I wonder if there was any point? Is it good to rotate tires even when they do not show uneven wear?

  2. If that's really the case, there's not much point, but it can't hurt
either. I find it very curious that they're wearing that evenly, since
FWD cars are much harder on front tires than rears. I'd measure them
myself to see if the dealer was just blowing you off.

Is there a dealer charge for tire rotation or is this something
that is covered on the purchase agreement??

In my area, some dealers include it as a courtesy - others
    charge for the rotation.
