Dumb question but where is the temprature sensor located that feeds the
climate control read out ? Especialy the outside air temp data sensor ?

In front of engine cooler, central low position.
There is a TSB for some defective sensors giving signals for higher temp
than real , changed for free with as new type. Give a look at it: new type
    ones have a yellow mark.
Of course if you start the car with hot engine, the real temperature will
be again readable after some time, as heat of engine influences reading.

I don't recall the exact location, but the HMAservice.com web site shows
them in a schematic. If you don't have an account, open one (free) and
you'll find a lot of good information there.
